The purpose of this page is to set publication dates for each of the new species named on this webite, The Ants of (sub-Saharan) Africa), as being 31st January 2010.

All the species here listed are based on specimens collected or physically separated by me, either in the course of my work in Nigeria, 1974-76, or from material sent to me by the numerous collectors whom have sought my assistance. All the drawings and photographs are my work.Those collectors are named on the species pages.

As, when and if the ICZN should decide, as surely it must, the use of electronic media consitutes formal publication and, if it does, a Register of Names be established, the above date will be submitted as the formal date for the names hereon listed.

This listing is separate from my numerous Taxonomic changes and the New Keys I have developed.
