We are a partnership of U.S., Canadian, and Mexican agencies (ITIS-North America), other organizations, and taxonomic specialists. ITIS is also a partner of Species 2000 and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF).

The ant data on ITIS is continuously updated from our Hymenoptera Name Server. It provides statistics of the number of taxa, and a facility to search other taxa described in the same publications as the queried taxon. All the data can be downloaded, especially in XML format.
